HOMEGROWN CEO PODCAST
Very proud and excited to announce my role as Producer for the Homegrown CEO Podcast. Though in its early stages now, Homegrown CEO will become a place of learning, inspiration and empowerment for entrepreneurs, leaders and anyone else looking to develop their business skills.
Blending education and and storytelling, the goal of the podcast is to share teachable moments from successful entrepreneurs and business leaders, offering valuable, actionable lessons for listeners to implement into their own journey.
My role as producer is to develop and drive the Homegrown CEO Podcast, currently leading all pre-production stages including guest outreach, creative direction, scripting and recording, as well as developing a streamlined workflow and offering my thoughts on editing and additional material.

THE EDITING PODCAST

When Denise and Louise reached out from The Editing Podcast, I was delighted to discuss where we might be able to improve the post-production of their already thriving podcast.
Together we highlighted enhanced sound quality and consistent sound levels as the key goals for our working together, with an added request for some promotional material they could use to market new episodes online. Introducing some extra noise reduction, dynamics and precise editing techniques to the mixing process has made a big difference to the overall finish of their episodes, matching their expert advice with polished, professional-sounding audio. |
Selecting highlights from each episode and turning them into promotional videos aligned with their existing branding was a wonderful way to showcase not only the key messages of the podcast, but the natural and engaging dynamic of its two presenters. An example of these social media videos can be viewed above.
I look forward to working with The Editing Podcast again, continuing their growth of listenership and sound quality. |
VISIT EAST LOTHIAN PODCAST

It was such a joy to be consulted on four new episodes for the Visit East Lothian Podcast, bringing some fresh ideas to the series as part of the team at Bauer.
Bringing in an introduction and outro to each episode has rounded off some really brilliant conversations, with new series music to tie it all together. Scripting and voicing these additions was a great experience, as was offering a content edit of the opening 'Film' episode in post-production. I am proud to say the final result is a more consistent, more engaging podcast series, much to the client's delight. Listen here now. |
BACKGROUND

In 2021 I launched The Hear and Now, a successful podcast powered by Transmission Roundhouse, focusing on the changes and issues currently facing the UK music industry.
Twice recognised by Apple Podcasts in their ‘New and Noteworthy’ section, I produced, hosted and edited the series myself and relished the opportunity to grow my confidence in these areas. |

Following the success of The Hear and Now, I was approached again by the team at Transmission Roundhouse to contribute to their limited series, Backstage at the Roundhouse. Travelling to London in January 2022, I was fortunate enough to interview Emeli Sandé backstage ahead of her sold-out performance at In The Round Festival, and to welcome her onstage later that evening.

I also produced and hosted a podcast for music magazine, The Rodeo Mag. Titled The Rodeo On Record, the show offered a behind-the-scenes look at our content, bringing listeners snippets of our interviews in their most organic form.
While my production experience was already strong, this new project has allowed me to fine tune my audio editing skills to an even higher level. |
